BAKERSFIELD, Calif.—CSU Bakersfield wrestling coach Manny Rivera has announced the signing of Joshua Loomer to a National Letter of Intent to continue his career with the Roadrunners.

Loomer enters the CSUB program from Cajon High School in San Bernardino. Loomer finished third at the 2017 CIF State Tournament at 182 pounds after earning an eighth place showing as a junior. He was selected as an All-American by the NHSCA in 2017, marking the first time that any Cajon HS athlete earned All-American honors. A two-time CIF champion, Loomer will graduate among the top-10 percent of the 2017 CHS class.

“We are excited about Josh joining our program,” Rivera said. “He has excelled in the classroom and on the wrestling mat, I have no doubt he will be a great addition to our team.”

CSUB is coming off a year in which the Roadrunners finished third in the Pac-12 and qualified five for the NCAA Tournament.
