CHULA VISTA, Calif. — The CSUB women’s golf team scored 328 on the final day of the Aztec Fall Classic at the Salt Creek Golf Course, finishing with a 647 over the two-day tournament.
Senior Jennifer Beggs carded an 82, bringing her two-round total to 157, good for a tie for 12th place overall. Sophomore Jenna Barnett shot the lowest round of the day for the Roadrunners, carding an 81 to finish in 17th place at 159.
Freshman Jennifer Davison shot an 83, bringing her tournament total to 16, while sophomore Ashley Neal shot an 82 to finish the tournament at 167. Junior Meggan Bellows closed out the scoring for CSUB with an 84.
San Diego State, which entered the day six strokes off the lead, pulled out a one-stroke victory to claim the team title with a 618. North Dakota State followed at 619 and South Dakota State finished third at 621. The Roadrunners' 647 put the squad in seventh place, just three strokes behind sixth place University of North Dakota.
North Dakota State’s Amanda Miller won the individual title, carding a 74 and 73 to finish with a 3-over-par 147.
The ‘Runners break from competition until Nov. 3-4 when they take part in the Lamkin Grip Cal Poly Invitational at the Cypress Ridge Golf Course.
