EAST LANSING, Mich. –
The CSUB men's golf team made it through the first round of The Fossum Invitational on Saturday, but weather has delayed the playing of the second round. The 'Runners finished the first round with a 305 which put them in fourth place out of 12 teams. Host Michigan State currently lead the event after shooting a 289. The tournament is being played at the Forest Akers West Golf Course in East Lansing, Mich.

James Moseley is in second place after carding the low round for CSUB, firing a one-under par 71. Adam Frey had an even round of 72 and is tied for fifth. Nick Baratelle fired an 80.

"The course was in excellent condition," Head Coach Dave Barber said. "We got midway through the first round but were called off because of the weather. We were able to resume playing and we finished the first round and started on the second but with the lightning in the area, they called us off for the rest of the afternoon."

The teams will conclude the second round of action tomorrow morning.
