CSUB Improves to Seventh on Final Day of Elco

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – The CSUB men's golf team carded the second lowest combined total on Tuesday to close out the third and final round of the Elco Inc., Intercollegiate in seventh place at Seven Oaks Country Club. The 'Runners began the day in ninth place but improved to seventh with a 293 in the third round. Only Nova Southeastern University, who won the team title at 850 (14-under par), shot lower on Tuesday with a 289. Tain Lee of Claremont Mudd Scripps won the individual title at 10-under par (206). He shot an even round of 72 today.

Adam Frey and Richie Kernagis each shot even-par rounds of 72 to finish at two-over par for the tournament (218), tied for 16th place. Jason Errecart was one-over today and finished tied for 28th at five-over. Kyle Morrison, who played the event as an individual, finished in a tie for 13th place with a three-round total of one-over par 217.

The 'Runners will have a week off before facing Fresno State on Monday, Mar. 9-10, at Belmont Country Club in Fresno, Calif.
