NEW ORLEANS, La.- CSU Bakersfield women's track and field has once again been honored by the U.S. Track & Field Coaches Association as an NCAA Division I All-Academic Team. It is the third-straight season for the Roadrunners on the list announced Thursday.

In order to make the list, a team must have at least a 3.00 cumulative team GPA. CSUB was one of 218 women's programs honored for this achievement. The Roadrunners maintained a 3.09 cumulative team GPA in 2016-17.

“I am very proud of the dedication of our women,” said CSUB Director of Track and Field Marcia Mansur-Wentworth. “Four years ago it was rare that we had a 3.0 for two members of our team and now it's our average.”

“We still have room to grow but it's our third straight honor so I'm pleased with that constant performance in the classroom.”

CSUB and NM State were the representatives on the list from the Western Athletic Conference.
