BAKERSFIELD, Calif.—CSU Bakersfield begins the final portion of the regular season Thursday night when the Roadrunners head to Missouri-Kansas City. Tip is 7 p.m. (CT) and will be available on the WAC Digital Network.

The Roadrunners (12-13, 7-4 WAC) sit in third place in the WAC entering this week’s play. CSUB is one game ahead of UT Rio Grande Valley and two games behind second place Seattle U. NM State currently sits atop the standings and the Aggies can clinch a third-straight regular season title with a combination of two NMSU wins and Seattle U losses. Coincidentally, the Redhawks host the Aggies on Saturday afternoon in Seattle.

CSU Bakersfield split a pair of games last week. CSUB defeated Utah Valley 55-39 before losing 62-53 to Seattle U. Jazmyne Bartee averaged 10.5 rpg and 5.5 bpg for the week. The 6-2 center has 66 blocks entering this week’s action, Bartee is the WAC leader in blocked shots (2.6) and is 17th in Division I in blocked shots per game. Her 66 blocks are the 17th most in D-1 this season and are the fourth most in a career at CSU Bakersfield.

UMKC’s Kristen Moore had 12 points and 11 rebounds in a win over Chicago State last Saturday. The Kangaroos are 7-17, 2-9 in league play. Samantha Waldron leads the ‘Roos in scoring and is 11th in the WAC in the category (12.0). CSUB took a 7-1 all-time series lead Jan. 28 when the Roadrunners defeated the Kangaroos 52-33.
