DAYTON, Ohio- The CSU Bakersfield Roadrunners are spending the Thanksgiving weekend on the road competing in the ‘Men vs. Breast Cancer Classic’ hosted by Wright State at the Wright State Nutter Center in Dayton, Ohio.
The Roadrunners will face host Wright State on Friday night at 7 P.M. (ET) before taking on North Florida on Saturday at 4:30 P.M. (ET) and North Dakota on Sunday at 2 P.M. (ET).
The ‘Runners enter with a 3-1 record after a pair of impressive home wins, most recently a 71-63 victory over Fresno State. In the battle of the defending Western Athletic Conference and Mountain West Conference tournament champions it was the Roadrunners out-classing the competition, leading for over 36 minutes in the game and by as many as 22 points. The victory also came in front of the sellout crowd of 3.497, the second sellout in less than a year for CSUB men’s basketball.
Jaylin Airington enters the weekend leading CSUB, the redshirt senior is having a phenomenal start to his final campaign averaging 23 points per game he ranks 23rd in the NCAA in scoring average following a 28-point performance against Fresno State. Airington converted on 9-17 from the field and 3-6 from three-point range. He also converted 7-8 shots from the free-throw line.
Airington is joined by Damiyne Durham who is averaging 18 per contest and leading the ‘Runners from the outside shooting 46% from three-point range. Senior guard Dedrick Basile adds 11 points per game for the Roadrunners.
Defense continues to be the strength for CSUB. The Roadrunners are allowing just 66 ppg while CSUB has also managed 40 steals already this season and is forcing an average of 18 turnovers per game.
Wright State enters Friday’s game at 3-1 and are led by Mark Alstork’s 30 ppg. Alstork’s average is leading the NCAA while he is also 6th in the nation in scoring thus far. North Florida is 2-3 coming into the weekend with two losses coming to LSU and Auburn and their third loss at the hands of Miami. UNF is led by senior guard Dallas Moore’s 17 ppg. North Dakota is 3-0 heading into the tournament but has yet to face an NCAA Division I opponent. They have one victory over an NCAA Division III team and a pair over NAIA opponents. North Dakota is led by Quinton Hooker and his 19 ppg.

Friday’s game will begin with the Dignity Health Pregame Show at 3:30 (PT) while Saturday’s contest vs. North Florida will be available at 1:00 (PT) and Sunday’s game begins on radio at 10:30 AM (PT).
