2007 – CSUB
Rosemary Stribling continued her emergence as one of CSUB’s top players by leading the team in attack percentage (.234)...topped the 200–kill plateau (231) for the second consecutive season...earned honorable mention All–Independent honors...reached double figure kills 10 times, matching her season–high of 17 vs. Stony Brook and at Houston...hit a career–high .538 vs. Stony Brook on Aug. 30...finished the season with nine solo blocks, a career best...enters the season ranked No. 25 in career kills (546) and No. 26 in block assists (111)...joined the basketball team after volleyball ended and started 21 of 25 games, averaging 3.9 points and 3.0 rebounds.
2006 – CSUB
Rosemary came into her own in 2006, establishing herself as one of the team’s top hitters and blockers during her sophomore season...led the ’Runners in attack percentage (.314) while finishing No. 2 in both kills (3.01) and blocks (0.58) per game...reached double figures in kills 12 times, including a career–high 21 vs. Sonoma State...hit better than .400 three times.
2005 – CSUB
Though she came to the Roadrunners with limited club experience, Rosemary became a major contributor as a freshman in 2005...appeared in 24 of 29 matches and played in 64 games as a freshman...hit a solid .318 while averaging 1.3 kills per game...though she appeared in slightly more than 60 percentage of all Roadrunner games, she still managed to rank No. 4 on the team by averaging 0.6 blocks per game...season–high nine kills came against Hawaii Pacific in the NCAA Pacific Regionals on Nov. 17...career–high five total blocks came in a sweep at Cal State Monterey Bay on Sept. 10...twice hit better than .500 in 10 or more attacks, including a .636 effort (7–0–11) in a sweep of Northwest Nazarene on Aug. 26.
Rosemary prepped at nearby West High School where she played four seasons of varsity ball for the Vikings...earned team MVP and second team honors in the powerful Southwest Yosemite League as a senior...also played basketball at West High and averaged 12 points per game as a senior.
Rosemary is majoring in physical education and kinesiology major at CSUB with a minor in psychology...plans to pursue a master’s in sports psychology...answers to the nickname Rose...her mother, Lillie, played softball and volleyball at the junior college level...is a native of Fontana.
