DAVIS, Calif.—No. 24 CSU Bakersfield split again on day two of the 37th annual UC Davis Aggie Shootout Sunday.

CSUB defeated Occidental 14-3 to begin Sunday action. The Tigers are eighth in the current CWPA Division III Top 10 poll. Nine different Roadrunners scored with Lindsey Paulson recording a hat trick for the second day in a row. Kristen Jensen, Tancy Aldridge and Ruby Versfeld each scored twice. CSUB led 5-0 after one and tallied six goals in the third period.

“We had a good start offensively and defensively that set the tone for the game,” said Roadrunner head coach Jason Gall. “We had nine different scorers which again is a good indicator of our depth.”

No. 12 UC Davis defeated CSUB 12-6 to complete the tournament. Jensen again scored twice for the Roadrunners. She also added two steals and drew two exclusions. Ashley Paz also scored on two occasions during the game. Courtney Wahlstrom made 10 saves.

“We made too many mental mistakes to win the game,” said Gall.. “We had plenty chances to score. We just couldn’t finish.”
