BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The CSU Bakersfield wrestling team (2-5, 0-4 Pac 12) hosts Arizona State (5-9, 1-1 Pac 12) Sunday afternoon in a 2 p.m. league dual.  The CSUB senior class will be honored as it is the final home dual of the 2011-12 season.

ASU is at No. 16 Cal Poly Friday night before heading over to Bakersfield. The Sun Devils have lost seven in a row entering this weekend’s action. Arizona State has lost to four nationally ranked opponents on this streak including a 33-6 decision to then No. 1 Oklahoma State.  Levi Cooper, a former Roadrunner and returning All-American at heavyweight, leads the Sun Devils with a 20-9 record. Cooper is No. 13 in the current IntermatWrestle.com rankings.

CSUB broke a five-dual losing streak Jan. 15 with a 19-17 victory over Northern Colorado. Both teams won five matches during the dual, but the difference proved to be Frank Lomas’ (R-Sr., Bakersfield, Calif., Bakersfield HS) victory via pinfall over Sam Bauer.
