BAKERSFIELD, Calif.-Boise State (1-5, 1-3 Pac 12) defeated CSU Bakersfield (1-5, 0-4 Pac 12) 27-12 in a league dual Friday night in the Icardo Center.

The Broncos won seven of the nine matches contested including a pin at 157 by No. 16 George Ivanov over Anthony Box (R-Sr., Bakersfield, Calif., Bakersfield HS). The Roadrunners' Miguel Comparan (R-Jr., Buena Park, Calif., Buena Park HS) was awarded a forfeit victory at 125. Frank Lomas (R-Sr., Bakesfield, Calif., Bakersfield HS) earned the first CSUB victory on the mats when he posted a 7-0 decision over Shawn Jones at 133. Adam Fierro (Fr., Bakersfield, Calif., Bakersfield HS) charted the final Roadrunner win of the night when defeated Michael Cuthbertson 10-4 at 165.

"We had some good performances tonight," said CSUB head coach Mike Mendoza. "Boise State is a good team and gainst good teams, you cannot afford to make mistakes. Those mistakes we made tonight cost us."

The Roadrunners return to the mats Jan. 15 when CSUB hosts Northern Colorado at 1 p.m.
