CSU Bakersfield dropped a 28-9 decision to the host Cardinal in the nightcap. Stanford is ranked 13th in Division I. Picking up victories for the Roadrunners were Iwamura (125), Kelley (141), and Fierro (165).

“I thought we wrestled well throughout the day,” said CSUB head coach Mike Mendoza. “We had good effort all the way around. We have several true freshmen in our lineup and they are working on adjusting to the collegiate level. As we move forward, we are focusing on what we can do to improve each time out.”

The Roadrunners return home Friday night when CSUB hosts No. 23 Cal Poly in a 7 p.m. Pac 12 dual.
