BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – CSU Bakersfield’s women’s golf team will wrap up its fall season with the Santa Clara Colby Invitational in San Jose, Calif., Oct. 31-Nov. 1. The Roadrunners will play 54-holes of golf over the two-day tournament at Silver Creek Valley Country Club.

“The team is looking forward to the challenge that is Silver Creek Valley,” said Meghan Thomason, CSUB’s Director of Golf. “We are hoping the weather isn’t as bad as is forecasted. It’s a strong field, so, I’m excited to see where we end up.” There is a slight chance of rain over both days of competition, but the ‘Runners will have to fight through whatever conditions they run into.

Thomason is sending her top five qualifiers to face off against a field of six other teams. CSUB’s five representing golfers will be senior Chandler Bullman, juniors Ariel Lee, Tori Peers, and Julia Stewart, and freshman Macey Mills.

Santa Clara’s two-day tournament will kick off with 36 holes of golf on Halloween Monday. The field will wrap up the final round on Tuesday, Nov. 1. A shotgun start at 8:15 a.m. will begin each day of competition. Live stats will not be available, but results and a full recap will be posted here at at the end of each day of competition.
