BAKERSFIELD, Calif.  – CSU Bakersfield’s swimming and diving teams will continue their dual season this weekend when the Roadrunners head to Moscow, Idaho for meets against Western Athletic Conference opponents. CSUB’s women will take on Idaho and Seattle U in a tri meet while the ‘Runner men will face off against Seattle U in a dual on Saturday, Nov. 5.

“All three of these meets could go either way,” said Chris Hansen, CSUB’s Director of Swimming. “For the women, Idaho has always been strong and Seattle has become a big threat in the WAC. This is going to be a fun meet. For us to bring home two wins, we will have to depend on more than Carlee Burks and Paola Hernandez.”

Hansen went on to highlight some other key student-athletes for the women’s dual: “Dylana Milobar is going up against a really tough breaststroke core in both Idaho and Seattle. Melissa Gore, Morgan King, Jayssie Haynes, and Sabrina Zavala will play an important role in winning both meets.”

“For the men,” Hansen continued, “Seattle has become a powerhouse and we will need to be on our A game. Everyone will need to step up. We can’t have any slip ups. I’m excited to see how the men handle the pressure. I’m looking forward to an amazing weekend.”

The Roadrunners, Vandals, and Redhawks will begin the meet at noon in Moscow, Idaho. A full recap and results will be posted here on after the meet.
