BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – CSU Bakersfield’s men’s golf team is prepared to hit the course again for the Roadrunners’ second tournament of the spring season. Bakersfield’s men will compete in the two-day, 36-hole Pizza Hut Pat Hicks Invitational hosted by Southern Utah. The tournament will take place Feb. 13-14 at Sunbrook Golf Club in St. George, Utah.

“We are excited to compete in Utah this week,” said Meggan Bunker, CSUB’s men’s head coach. “Last year, we had a great tournament, placed sixth out of 12 teams, and came home with a 36-hole tournament record score. Coming into this event, we are looking to do even better. It's a fun course and I can't wait to see how the team does.”

A year ago, the ‘Runners finished SUU’s tournament with a 36-hole team score of 588 (+12), the best two-round total in CSUB’s Division I history. Nathan Green, a sophomore at the time, paced the ‘Runners with a one-over-par 145 on the week.

Green will look to lead the ‘Runners in St. George again this week as he has done all season. The native of Green River, Wyo. comes into the week with an average one whole stroke below his next closest teammate at 75.21.

Joining Green to represent Bakersfield in Utah this week will be senior Izzad Ibrahim, junior Garry Cai, and freshmen Warren Miller and Dominick Hoover.

Live stats will be available for the tournament via GolfStat.com. Full results and a recap will be posted here on GoRunners.com at the end of each day of competition.
