Freshman Daije Harris scored a season high 13 points against NMSU. Jazmyne Bartee recorded her fifth consecutive double double against the Aggies with 11 points and a season best 17 rebounds. Her four blocks raised her season total to 53. The old mark was 52 set by Janae Coffee during the 2012-13 season. CSUB is now 10-12, 5-3 in WAC play.
UT Rio Grande Valley defeated Grand Canyon 52-49 Thursday night to improve to 16-9, 6-3 in the WAC. Shawnte’ Goff scored 24 of the 52 UTRGV points to lead the Vaqueros past the ‘Lopes.
CSUB defeated UTRGV 71-46 Jan. 12 to take a 10-5 all-time series lead. Against UTRGV on Jan. 12, the 46 points that the Vaqueros scored were the ninth fewest in a game allowed by CSUB since the move to Division I. The 54 rebounds that the ‘Runners pulled in were the eighth most in a game at the Division I level by a CSUB team.
