BAKERSFIELD, Calif.—The CSU Bakersfield baseball team will hit the road for the first time this season Tuesday night when the Roadrunners travel to Cal Poly. First pitch is set for 6 p.m. and will be streamed on Big West TV.

The Roadrunners took 2-of-3 from BYU last weekend to close out the season opening home stand with an 8-3 record. Mahlik Jones hit .636 for the season (7-of-11) and pitched in game two of the set. Naithen Dewsnap earned his third save in the opener and is 2-0 on the year as the ‘Runner closer.

Cal Poly opened the season with an 11-game road trip during which the Mustangs went 2-9. Alex McKenna is leading the team with a .325 batting average. Nick Meyer has posted a team leading six RBI’s.

Lefty Trent Shelton (0-0) is scheduled to start the game for Cal Poly. Garrett Nimmo (0-1) is the probable starter for CSUB Tuesday night. The Mustangs lead the all-time series against CSUB 16-6.
