BAKERSFIELD, Calif.--Taylor Aikenhead (So., Lancaster, Calif., Bakersfield College) tossed his NCAA Division I leading fourth complete game of the season as CSU Bakersfield (11-15) defeated Sacramento State (14-15) 5-2 Sunday afternoon at Hardt Field.

The 6-0 lefty retired the final nine batters he faced as he scattered seven hits while only tossing 98 pitches to improve to 5-3 on the year. 

With the score tied at two in the bottom of the sixth Cael Brockmeyer's (So., Vineyard Haven, Mass., Avon Old Farms HS) sac fly broke the tie in favor of the Roadrunners. CSUB added two insurance runs in the bottom of the eighth. Brockmeyer went 2-for-2 with a double and three RBI's on the day.

Oscar Sanay (So., Chula Vista, Calif., Bonita Vista HS) was 2-for-3 with three runs scored. Tyler Shryock (So., Tehachapi, Calif., Desert Christian HS) had two hits and an RBI.

CSUB returns to the field Tuesday at UC Santa Barbara for a 3 p.m. start.
