LOS ANGELES, Calif.---No. 13/24 UCLA (28-19) defeated CSU Bakersfield (27-20) 10-1 Saturday afternoon at Jackie Robinson Stadium.

Bruins’ pitcher Trevor Bauer struck out 13 while walking only one as he posted his sixth consecutive complete game. UCLA scored eight runs in the bottom of the third to put the game away. Cody Regis’ fourth home run of the year, a three-run blast, was the key to the rally. DC Legg (Jr., Murrietta, Calif., Cypress College) scored on a wild pitch in the fifth for the first CSUB run.

Chris Rodriguez and Cody Keefer paced the UCLA offense as each recorded three hits. For the Roadrunners, Kevin Younger (So., Bakersfield, Calif., Liberty HS) went 2-for-3. Legg was 2-for-4.

The series concludes Sunday afternoon at 2 p.m.
