The major damage occured in the fifth when two of the CSUB errors led to a four-run Fresno State outburst. The Roadrunners had only made 15 errors in 13 previous games prior to Tuesday night's game. Fresno's victory over CSUB ended the Roadrunners' 10-game winning streak.
CSUB posted 10 hits with Oscar Sanay (Fr., Chula Vista, Calif., Bonita Vista HS) going 3-for-5 with a run scored. Jeremy Rodriguez (Jr., Thousand Oaks, Calif., Crespi HS) was 2-for-5 with a run scored. Ryan McIntyre (Jr., Henderson, Nev., Coronado HS) was 2-for-5 with an RBI.
The Roadrunners head to defending national champion South Carolina for a three-game series this weekend. CSUB opens up the series against the No. 6 Gamecocks Friday with a 4 p.m. (PST) start.
