SEATTLE, Wash.--Washington clinched the weekend baseball series against CSU Bakersfield by defeating the Roadrunners 7-3 Saturday afternoon at Husky Field.

The Huskies scored two runs in the second and three runs in the third to jump out to an early lead. Frank Martinez (Jr., Riverside, Calif., East L.A. College) broke the seal for the Roadrunners in the seventh with his first home run of the season.

Washington returned the favor in the bottom of the frame when Michael Camporeale hit a two-run home run.  Jordie Hein (Fr., Scottsdale, Ariz., Chapparal HS) and Oscar Sanay (So., Chula Vista, Calif., Bonita Vista HS) added RBI's in the eighth to make it the final 7-3.

Chase Anselmont went 3-for-4 for Washington. Camporeale had two hits and two runs scored. Martinez was 2-for-3 to lead CSUB.

The series concludes Sunday at 1 p.m.
