2010: Nikki Leon was one of six players to appear in all 29 games...made four starts, including the first two contests of the year...scored a season–high 12 points at Long Beach State (1–23–10)...scored 11 points the following game against Cal Poly (1–30–10)...finished as team’s third leading rebounder (3.7 rpg)...led team in rebounding three times...reached double–figure point totals six times...season–high eight rebounds against Delaware State (12–19–09)...recorded four steals against Montana State in the season opener (11–13–09).
2009: Leon started eight of the 27 games she appeared in during her sophomore season...averaged 5.0 points per game...scored in all but four contests she appeared in...was 8–for–12 shooting for a season–high 23 points against Santa Clara (12–6–08)...was a perfect 3–for–3 from beyond the arc against Big 12 member Oklahoma (12–12–08), finishing with 15 points and four rebounds...grabbed a season–best nine rebounds and dished four assists against Saint Mary’s College (12–16–08)...blocked three shots against Long Beach State (1–13–09).
2008: Leon saw action in all 29 of CSUB’s contests as a true freshman…averaged 3.2 points and 1.8 rebounds…scored a career–best 16 points against Utah Valley (1–24–08)…pulled down six boards to help the ‘Runners defeat San Jose State (12–6–07)…played a season–high 27 minutes at Long Beach State (2–16–08), grabbed five rebounds, recorded three steals and shot 2–for–2 from the charity stripe…had three steals and grabbed three rebounds in 11 minutes against Santa Clara (1–4–08).
Canyon Country HS: Leon led the Foothill League in scoring as a senior at Canyon Country High School…displayed her versatility by ranking No. 2 in the league in assists (3.5 apg), blocks (3.6 bpg) and steals (4.4 spg)…also finished No. 3 in rebounding (6.5 rpg)…was a three–time MVP for the Cowboys…earned first team All–Foothill League honors as a junior and senior…was Canyon Country High’s Female Athlete of the Year in 2007…also ran track as a prep athlete.
Personal: Leon is a physical education and kinesiology major with a minor in criminal justice at CSUB.
