BAKERSFIELD, Calif.—CSU Bakersfield head women's soccer coach Gary Curneen has announced the 2017 schedule. The Roadrunners open the campaign by playing in the UTRGV Tournament Aug. 18 and 20 against Sam Houston State and Prairie View.

CSUB opens action on the Main Soccer Field pitch against Cal Poly Aug. 23. The ‘Runners travel to UTEP Aug. 25 before coming back home Aug. 31 against Denver. The Roadrunners head up the 99 to take on Fresno State Sept. 3. CSUB takes part in its second in season tournament Sept. 8 and 10 when the ‘Runners travel to Saint Mary's for matches against the host Gaels and Grambling State.

CSUB is home Sept. 15 and 17 for matches against UNLV and Sacramento State. After hop up to Stockton for a Sept. 22 match against Pacific, the Roadrunners host UC Riverside Sept. 24 to wrap up the non-conference portion of the schedule.

Western Athletic Conference play begins Oct. 6 at NM State with home WAC action getting underway Oct. 13 against UMKC. The WAC Tournament will be hosted by Grand Canyon and will is slated to begin Nov. 1.

"We are very excited about the upcoming fall schedule as it means that the season is right around the corner,” said Curneen. “The non-conference games will test us against some new opposition and getting comfortable traveling is a key priority for us. Every year we have improved in our preparation and our players are growing, both in confidence and experience. We hope that growth continues and that it can propel our program to another successful season."
