BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – During yet another deep postseason run by the CSU Bakersfield men's basketball team, the additional local and national exposure on the Roadrunner spirit program continued to increase. CSUB's spirit squads can be seen at all home men and women's basketball games, special events, and traveling with select athletic sports teams to various championships.

The 2017-18 CSU Bakersfield spirit squad tryout sessions for cheerleading, dance, and mascot teams are scheduled to be held on Friday and Saturday, May 19-20. The location for both dates will be the Physical Education building (aka Old Gym) on CSUB's main campus.

Tryouts on Friday, May 19, are scheduled to start at 5 p.m. for dance team candidates and followed by cheerleading and mascot team candidates starting at 7 p.m. Saturday, May 20, will begin with cheerleading and mascot team candidates at noon and followed by dance team candidates at 2 p.m. By invite only, an interview session will take place for finalists at 6 p.m. The final announcements will be made shortly after the finalists' interviews.
