ATLANTA – CSU Bakersfield’s men's and women's swimming teams concluded the AT&T Winter Nationals as Dylana Milobar and Lovre Soric both posted another pair of season-best times for the Roadrunners.

“Lovre and Dylana both represented CSUB swimming to the highest standards this weekend,” said Chris Hansen, Director of Swimming for the 'Runners. ”I am very impressed by both of them. Their teammates should be very proud; I am! It’s now time to get home and start our five-week training camp.”

Soric, a native of Zagreb, Croatia, swam a season-best time of 1:47.97 in the 200 back in Saturday morning’s preliminary heats. The time was quick enough to win his heat while Soric qualified 20th overall among 39 student-athletes. In the evening finals, Soric finished with a time of 1:49.38 in 22nd place.

“Lovre finished the meet with his best time of the season this morning in the 200 back,” said Hansen. “I am pumped he got to swim in the finals all three nights. He is not fully rested or shaved. We are just trying to get him to swim long meets tired and perform fast. He proved he can do that this weekend.”

Milobar, who hails from Kamloops, B.C., time trialed the 200 breaststroke on Saturday. The senior posted a season-best time of 2:20.66 in another impressive performance.

“Dylana also had a season-best in her 200 breast time trial,” Hansen said. “Like Lovre, the more racing Dylana does the better for her.”

The Roadrunners will be back in action Saturday, Dec. 10, when the CSUB women take on Fresno State in a home dual meet.
