Matthew Singer joined the CSU Bakersfield staff in February of 2015 as the Director of Game Operations. Singer is responsible for a variety of duties in the internal operations department including event coordinating and athletic facility management. In the summer of 2015, he took on more responsibilities and now oversees facility management.
Previously, Singer held positions at Stevens Institute of Technology, the Ivy League, and Seton Hall University in New Jersey. At Stevens, he contributed in many different departments specifically in facilities by managing a student staff and securing many outside rentals. He assisted in the planning and organization of championships, scheduling, budgeting, and administering many conference meetings as the Coordinator for Compliance and Championships while working at the Ivy League. His roles expanded to many departments at Seton Hall including academic support, compliance, marketing, and facilities/operations.
Singer graduated from Seton Hall in 2009 with a Bachelor's of Science in Business Administration with a concentration in Sport Management/Marketing. He then worked as a graduate assistant in the athletic department while he worked towards his Master of Arts in Education with a focus in College Student Personnel Administration, which he received in 2011. Matt was a member of the Seton Hall baseball team after walking on in 2005 as a pitcher. He earned various awards and accolades throughout his five years including All-Big East and All-New Jersey Collegiate Baseball Association (NJCBA) honors.
