BAKERSFIELD, Calif.- Head men’s basketball coach Rod Barnes unveiled the 2014-15 Bakersfield Roadrunners men’s basketball schedule on Tuesday’s edition of ‘Roadrunner Rundown,’ the official television program of CSUB Athletics.

On the show Barnes discussed the highlights of the 31-game schedule including several marquee home match ups this season one of which is the December 6 game against Fresno State at the Icardo Center. That game against the Bulldogs is the final game in an early-season four-game home stand for the Roadrunners which begins with their home opener Sunday, November 23 against Delaware at 4 P.M.

For the first time since the 1997 season the ‘Runners will play all of their home games exclusively at the Icardo Center on campus. The ‘Runners had previously split their schedule the last three seasons between their on-campus home and downtown Bakersfield’s Rabobank Arena. The Icardo Center underwent a small renovation over the summer which included a new blue court design to replace the original that was installed in 2011.

Other non-conference home games this season including South Dakota on Nov. 30; the Roadrunners will be playing their first game against a Big West Conference team since the 2012-13 season when they host UC Riverside on December 2.

Bakersfield will open Western Athletic Conference play on the road this season at Grand Canyon on January 10. CSUB’s WAC home opener is scheduled for Thursday, January 15 when they host New Mexico State and follow that with a January 17 matchup against Texas- Pan American.

The Western Athletic Conference Tournament will once again be hosted at The Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nev. March 12-14th with the winner receiving the conference’s automatic-bid to the NCAA Tournament.

Season and single game tickets for the 2014-15 season will be available in the coming weeks.
