NIPMO, Calif.--Malea Miller (Sr., Bakersfield, Calif., Bakersfield Colllege) finished fourth at the Firestone Grill College Invitational to lead Bakersfield Sunday in Nipmo.

Miller shot 151 (75-76) to come in 11 shots behind Cal Poly's Madison Hirsch (66-74) who was the medalist. Jordanne Barr (So., Bakersfield, Calif., Frontier HS) finished 10th (81-81-162). Michelle Martel (So., Bakersfield, Calif., Frontier HS) tied for 18th with Cal Poly's Carolane Gariepy (82-84-166).

Chandler Bullman (Fr., Bakersfield, Calif., Frontier HS) finished 22nd (84-85-169) Micah Lopez (Jr., Bakersfield, Calif., East Bakersfield HS) placed 24th (85-91-176). Tarah Steinbach (Jr., Tehacahpi, Calif., Friends Univ.) and McKenzie Pardue (Fr., Bakersfield, Calif., Liberty HS) both played unattached. Steinbach finished 26th (94-101-195) while Pardue was 27th (104-96-200).

"We are making fantastic progress," said Bakersfield director of golf Greg Osbourne. "I am very proud of how they are handeling themselves on and off the course. We look forward to our upcoming events because hard work will help us prevail."
