Bakersfield Athletics is pleased to announce their largest offerings of broadcasts for the upcoming winter and spring sports seasons.

On air, CSUB through Nelligan Sports Marketing and KERN Newstalk 1180 will broadcast the entire schedule of home and away men’s basketball games.

Contests this season include visits to Washington State, USC and Fresno State along with their first season as a member of the Western Athletic Conference which also includes the WAC Basketball Tournament to be held March 13-16 at The Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nev. Along with radio, live audio of all home and away games will also be available on

Corey Costelloe will once again provide the play-by-play, his 11th season behind the microphone for the Roadrunners. CSUB’s marquee home contests include Nevada, Sacramento State and Santa Clara as well as their first WAC game on Jan. 4 against Utah Valley at Rabobank Arena and a March 1 matchup against defending WAC champion New Mexico State at Rabobank Arena as well.

For the first time this season, the Roadrunners will also be providing live video of all men’s and women’s home basketball games. The games will be available via subscription to the WAC Digital Network and  Before basketball starts, CSUB will also stream select home volleyball matches, while the WAC volleyball tournament in Phoenix Ariz., Nov. 25-27., will also be available online through

Television coverage this season for Bakersfield men's basketball includes two nationally-televised games on the Pac-12 Network. The first being the season opener Nov. 8 at Washington State as well as the Dec. 15 meeting against USC at the Galen Center in Los Angeles. Other games including CSUB’s matchup vs. New Mexico State in Bakersfield are being considered for coverage by ESPN 3.

Starting in February, CSUB will also provide radio coverage of select baseball games both on KERN 1180 and The home opener is slated for Feb. 14 vs. UW Milwaukee which will be carried on That broadcast schedule will be finalized last this year.
