New 'Roadrunner Rundown' Show To Debut In August
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Bakersfield Athletics is entering into a new partnership with The Bakersfield Californian and Bakersfield.com with a new ‘Roadrunner Rundown’ program to be recorded and aired weekly on Bakersfield.com and GoRunners.com.
The show, formerly a radio program and podcast from CSUB Athletics, will now take on a new life as a fully-produced, high-definition digital program that will include highlights, features, in-studio interviews and more each week. The program will be hosted by Bakersfield’s director of new media and broadcasting Corey Costelloe and will premiere on August 13th.
“This is a wonderful opportunity for the CSUB Roadrunners to be the first local sports group to take advantage of this platform,” he said. “The Bakersfield Californian has done a great job with their ‘First Look’ program and I am looking forward to bringing the same quality programming with Roadrunner Rundown as we focus on CSUB Athletics and the community.”
While the program will air live on Tuesday’s from 10 A.M. to 11 A.M., it will more-importantly be available on-demand at both Bakersfield.com and GoRunners.com, the official website of CSUB Athletics.
The premier episode on August 13 will feature a look into the Western Athletic Conference, the new home of the Roadrunners, as well as special guests and other season previews.
“This is an opportunity to really open up our broadcast properties to something new,” Costelloe said. “This is a nice format, a good opportunity to show people what our program is all about and I think it is the next logical step in our digital media offerings.”
