BAKERSFIELD, Calif.--Bakersfield third baseman Mylz Jones (Palmdale, Calif., Paraclete HS) was named to the 2013 Louisville Slugger Freshman All-American team, selected by Collegiate Baseball newspaper.

Jones, a second team All-Conference selection, hit .333 with 37 RBI's for the Roadrunners this season. He posted a school record 21-game hitting streak in March. Jones is the second Bakersfield player to earn the honor, joining Oscar Sanay who was named to the team in 2011.

The Roadrunners won a school record 37 games on their way to regular season WAC Championship in 2013.
