BAKERSFIELD, Calif.--The CSU Bakersfield baseball team heads to the state of Louisiana for the first time this weekend when the Roadrunners face the Bulldogs of Louisiana Tech. Friday's game begins at 4 p.m. (PDT). Saturday's game is set for 1 p.m. (PDT) with Sunday's action beginning at 11 a.m. (PDT).

This is the first time CSU Bakersfield (29-17, 12-6 WAC) and Louisiana Tech (15-30, 3-15 WAC) are playing in baseball. Louisiana Tech is led by Tyler Ervine who paces the team in batting average (.296), hits (45), runs (21), walks (16), and on-base percentage (.372). Bre’Shon Kimbell is the team leader in home runs (3) and RBI’s (29).

Lefty James Ferguson (2-1) faces Jeff McKenzie on Friday night. Phil Maton (5-5), the WAC leader in strikeouts (73), goes up against Scott Brattvet on Saturday. The Sunday series finale will feature Trevor Petersen (2-4) against Jonathan Montoya.
