BAKERSFIELD, Calif.--For the fourth and final time this season, Bakersfield will take on Fresno State in baseball action Tuesday night at Bieden Field. First pitch is set for 6:35 p.m.

The Roadrunners took a 12-10 all-time series lead against Fresno State last Tuesday night when the Roadrunners defeated the Bulldogs 2-0 in Bakersfield. Fresno State dropped 2-of-3 to San Diego State last weekend. The Bulldogs are 14-27 on the season, 9-12 in the Mountain West Conference. Preseason All-American Aaron Judge leads Fresno State in hitting (.344), home runs (7), and RBI’s (24).

Senior Dylan Christensen (Rancho Santa Margarita, Calif., Saddleback College) was selected as one of the 25 finalists for the 2013 John Olerud Award, emblematic as the top Division I two-way player Apr. 26.

Christensen is hitting .314 with one home run and 29 RBI’s. On the mound, Christensen has taken over the closer’s role out of the bullpen. Christensen has a 1-4 record with a 2.86 ERA, five saves, 17 strikeouts in 21 innings. Christensen is tied with teammate Oscar Sanay (Jr., Chula Vista, Calif., Bonita Vista HS) for 21st in Division I in triples (4) in the national statistical report released Apr. 18. He was named WAC Pitcher of the Week Mar. 25.
