The Roadrunner Scholarship Fund is seeking renewals and new memberships for the upcoming 2013-14 season with an all-time high goal of raising $550,000 by the end of the current fiscal year.
The Roadrunner Scholarship Fund is responsible for funding the scholarships for student-athletes at CSUB through private donations from supporters. Memberships come in a variety of levels and include benefits and exclusive merchandise for all who participate.
Giving to the Roadrunner Scholarship Fund each year provides aid to student-athletes who are up to the challenge of Division I competition and the academic rigors of college life. Long known as the Roadrunner Club, this fund provides financial support to all the CSUB teams and is the backbone of Roadrunner Athletics. State funds may not be used for scholarships so community and fan support to this fund is vital to our success.
This year’s spring fund drive started on April 3rd at the home of Roadrunner Scholarship Fund President Alan Wade and his wife Cindy. Volunteers and members of the RRSF have been paired up in teams and charged with the challenge of attracting new members for the upcoming season. With CSUB entering the Western Athletic Conference as a full-member next season, community support is more important than ever.
