BAKERSFIELD, Calif.--The CSU Bakersfield women's basketball team recorded its ninth consecutive victory by defeating Chicago State 72-54 Saturday night.

The Roadrunners held the Cougars to six first half field goals as CSUB took a 38-14 lead into halftime. The 14 points tie the school Division I record for fewest points allowed in a half (CSUB allowed 14 to Utah Valley in the second half of their Dec. 9, 2009 game). The Roadrunners held Chicago State to 35.8% field goal shooting for the game (19-for-53).

Janae Coffee (R-So., Fresno, Calif., Long Beach State) led CSUB with 17 points on 7-for-9 shooting from the floor. Tyonna Outland (R-So., Compton, Calif., Lynwood HS) charted her third double-double of the year with 12 points and 11 rebounds. Dajy Vines (R-So., Oxnard, Calif., Santa Maria HS) also scored 12 points.

The Roadrunners will look to make it 10 in a row at New Mexico State next Saturday in Las Cruces beginning at 4 p.m. (MST).
