BAKERSFIELD, Calif.--The CSU Bakersfield women's basketball looks for its ninth consecutive victory Saturday night when the Roadrunners (10-15) host Chicago State (4-20).

When CSUB defeated New Orleans 78-59 Monday, the Roadrunners tied the school Division I record for consecutive victories with eight. The 2010-11 'Runners won eight in a row. During the streak, CSUB is shooting 43.8% from the floor, compared to 36.8% for the entire season. Amber Williams (Sr., Fontana, Calif., Etiwanda HS) is averaging 21.3 points during the streak. Janae Coffee (R-So., Fresno, Calif., Long Beach State) is averaging a double-double over the last eight games (14.4 ppg, 10.3 rpg).

The Roadrunners defeated Chicago State 70-51 Jan. 24 in Chicago to take a 2-1 all-time series lead. The Cougars have two of their last four games dating back to the first CSUB game Jan. 24. Paris Williams leads the team in scoring with an 8.5 ppg average. The Roarunners have three remaining games against future WAC rivals; Chicago State (Feb. 16), New Mexico State (Feb. 23) and Utah Valley (Feb. 27). CSUB is 4-0 so far against future WAC opponents.
