BAKERSFIELD, Calif.- The CSUB Roadrunners return to their downtown home at Rabobank Arena Wednesday night hosting Wyoming (15-6, 2-6 Mountain West) at 7 P.M. presented by Kern Insurance Agents and KERN Newstalk 1180.

The match up will be the second meeting between CSUB (8-14)  and Wyoming this season as the Cowboys took the first game in Laramie on Nov., 24th, 63-49. The Cowboys started the season 14-0 before falling on some tough times recently in Mountain West play as they've lost five of their last six games with their last win coming against then #15 San Diego St. 58-45 in Wyoming. The Cowboys have lost their last four, most recently a 65-46 setback at Colorado St. Saturday night.

The Roadrunners meanwhile enter having won two of their last three games after their 75-62 win over Utah Valley Saturday night at the Icardo Center. Stephon Carter (Sr., Bakersfield, Calif., Garces HS) led the way with a game-high 23 points as he pulled within 34 points of CSUB's all-time scoring record held by Kenny Warren.

The 'Runners had four players in double figures in that game and shot a season-best 52% from the field and 50% from three-point range. Wednesday's game will be played at Rabobank Arena where the Roadrunners are 2-0 this season having defeated UT San Antonio on Dec. 1 85-52 and North Carolina A&T on Dec. 30 60-52. Under head coach Rod Barnes the Roadrunners are 3-1 at their secondary home downtown with their only loss coming to UNLV last season.

The Cowboys are led by senior forward Leonard Washington who is averaging 14 ppg for Wyoming while also pulling down a team-high 8.7 rebounds per contest as well. Fellow senior Derrious Gilmore is also chipping in 12 ppg for the Cowboys. Washington had 13 against CSUB back in November while Gilmore added six in the Wyoming win.  Brandon Barnes (R-Jr., Atlanta, Ga., Lipscomb) was the only Roadrunner in double figures scoring 13 to lead CSUB in the loss.

Wyoming comes to Bakersfield boasting the nation's 8th-best defense allowing just 55.3 points per game to their opponents.

Wednesday's game will also feature the CSUB baseball and softball teams greeting fans at halftime and handing out free schedule posters. American Kids Gymnastics will also be performing at the half.
