SANTA CLARA, Calif.-The CSUB Roadrunners, fresh off an 84-79 win over Nebraska-Omaha Saturday night, play their final road game in the state of California Wednesday night as they take on Santa Clara (14-6, 3-3 WCC) at 7 P.M. at the Leavey Center.

The 'Runners (7-13) will be taking on a talented and experienced Broncos squad that is coming off two road wins in WCC play, first defeating San Francisco 85-54 last Thursday and Pepperdine 83-27 on Saturday night in Malibu. CSUB head coach Rod Barnes knows a win against Santa Clara would mean a lot to the program.

"It would be huge, that's the thing I tell our guys is missing from our program; getting a really high-profile win," Barnes said. "I think Santa Clara would be a step in that direction."

The Roadrunners enter coming off their best shooting game of the season as they made over 53% from the field, the second game in a row the 'Runners have shot better than 50% in the game. CSUB also had four players in double figures Saturday night led by Javonte Maynor (R-So., Atlanta, Ga., Georgia State) who scored a game-high 17 points including a 4-9 mark from three-point range. The Roadrunners are led by Stephon Carter's (Sr., Bakersfield, Calif., Garces HS) 15.4 ppg; Carter scored nine versus Omaha, just the fourth time this season he's scored fewer than 10 points. Carter enters Wednesday's game just 50 point shy of breaking CSUB's all-time scoring record.

CSUB will face a tough test Wednesday as they take on an experienced Santa Clara squad that is being led by a trio of upperclassmen. Senior guard Kevin Foster is averaging 20 ppg for the Broncos and has averaged over 27 ppg over the first three road games in conference. Foster is shooting 41% from the field and was recently named West Coast Conference 'Player of the Week' following his efforts at San Francisco and Pepperdine. Senior forward Marc Trasolini is contributing 15 ppg while pulling down a team-high 8.2 rebounds per contest. He's also shooting 52% from the field and is 7th in the WCC in scoring.

Rounding out the double-digit leaders is junior guard Evan Roquemore who's adding 13 ppg and leading the way with a team-high 6.3 assists per game. The Broncos rank 19th in the NCAA in scoring offense.

CSUB is 0-2 all time in the series with the Broncos winning the last meeting held in Bakersfield in the 2010-11 season 84-81.
