BAKERSFIELD, Calif.--For the third time in four games, CSU Bakersfield plays a future WAC opponent when CSUB travels to Chicago State Thursday night.

CSUB and Chicago State have played two previous times with each team winning once. The Roadrunners defeated the Cougars 93-92 in overtime of the WBI semfinals in 2011 in the last meeting between the two schools. The rematch between CSUB and CSU occurs Feb. 16 in Bakersfield.

The Cougars broke a 15-game losing streak last Saturday with a 58-57 Great West Conference victory over NJIT. Chicago State is 2-17 overall, 1-1 in GWC play. Tierra Williams (8.5) leads the team in scoring. Layne Murphy (6.0) paces the team in rebounding.

The Roadrunners won their fourth consecutive game, 67-65, over Utah Valley Saturday. A double-double of 20 points and 11 rebounds by Tyonna Outland (R-So., Compton, Calif., Lynwood HS) led CSUB to the win. Outland was named Indpendent Player of the Week Jan. 21 after her peformances on the week.
