BAKERSFIELD, Calif.--The CSUB Roadrunners (6-12) coming off their toughest stretch of games this season against two nationally-ranked opponents last week, return home for five of their next six games beginning with Wednesday's match up against Cal State Fullerton (8-6, 2-1 Big West) at the Icardo Center.

This will be the second meeting this season between the 'Runners and the Titans with CSUB claiming a 72-70 win at Fullerton on Dec. 6. In that game CSUB overcame a slow first-half start which included 33% shooting from the field and a 14-point halftime deficit as they came back in the second half defeating the Titans for the fourth-straight time. The loss also snapped a 13-game home winning streak for Fullerton, who hadn't lost at home since CSUB defeated them on Thanksgiving weekend the season prior.

The Roadrunners' second-half effort included a balanced attack where five players saw double digits including Stephon Carter who scored a team-high 20 points while knocking down 8 of 17 shots in the game. Carter was joined by senior forward Adam Young who recorded his first double-double of the season with 12 points and 13 rebounds including a 6-11 mark from the floor. Brandon Barnes had 14 points on 6-9 from the field while Javonte Maynor and Britton Williams added 10 apiece. It was Williams' lay up in the final minute which allowed CSUB to take the lead for good and get the win.

The Roadrunners shot 47% in the second half while holding the Titans to just 9-26 in the second half from the field and 3-13 from three-point range. CSUB also dominated on the glass, outrebounding Fullerton 47-31 including 19 offensive rebounds which led to 13 second-chance points.

Kwame Vaughn led four Titans in double figures with his 22 points while CSUB managed to outscore Fullerton in the paint 44-16.

Stephon Carter comes into Wednesday's game not only leading the Roadrunners in scoring with his 15.7 ppg, but also needing just 73 points to break CSUB's all-time scoring record held by Kenny Warren.

Cal State Fullerton is one of the best offensive teams in the nation averaging 85.6 ppg which is second-best amongst NCAA teams in the scoring offense category while their 50.7% from the field ranks 8th in the NCAA as well. Fullerton is also a solid perimeter shooting team averaging an NCAA 8th--best 41.9% from beyond the arc while they are averaging over 9 three-pointers per contest which is 5th in the country.

The Titans have three players averaging in double figures led by senior guard DJ Seeley and his 20.4 ppg. Seeley scored 14 points on 4-12 shooting and 1-6 from three-point range in the first meeting with CSUB on Dec. 6. Seeley is shooting 50% from the field and 40% from three-point range this season.

Tip off is scheduled for 7 P.M. at the Icardo Center. Tickets are available online at GoRunners.com or by calling 654-BLUE. The game is also available on KERN Newstalk 1180 beginning at 6:30 P.M. or online at GoRunners.com
