2009: Joey Mills was the Roadrunners’ starting center fielder...held a six-game hitting streak from Apr. 9-21...went 10-for-20 (.500) during that stretch...finished the season batting .247 with five doubles, three triples and one home run...has also successfully stolen seven bases in 11 attempts and scored 23 runs...hit his first home run, a grand slam, in CSUB’s 5-2 win over UC Davis (5/21/09).

PHOENIX COLLEGE
Mills was an outfielder for the Phoenix College Bears, which won the Arizona Community College Athletic Conference title and the National Junior College Athletic Association Region I Division 2 championship in 2008...was second on the team with a .322 batting average his sophomore season...also compiled 48 hits, scored 33 runs and drove in 20 runs.

CHERRY CREEK HIGH SCHOOL
Mills prepped at Cherry Creek High School in Greenwood Village, Colo., where he helped the Bruins to a pair of 5A Centennial League championships...was a first team All-Centennial League selection and a first team all-state selection as a senior...posted a .415 batting average to go along with 19 stolen bases as a senior.

SUMMER LEAGUE
Mills played for the Kenai Peninsula Oilers of the Alaska Baseball League in 2008.
