BAKERSFIELD, Calif. – After two weeks off from competition, the Roadrunner women’s golf team will get back to action this week at the Bobcat Desert Invitational, Apr. 10-11, hosted by Montana State in Goodyear, Ariz.

“We are looking forward to the Bobcat Invitational at Estrella Golf Club, said Meghan Thomason, CSUB’s Director of Golf. “It is always nice to return to a course where we have had positive experiences. We took a lot away from our duel victory a couple weeks ago and a few individuals have worked out some of the nagging issues in their games. I feel like we have a lot of things working in our favor heading into the last two weeks of our season.”

The ‘Runners will be represented by five competitors and one student-athlete playing as an individual. CSUB’s scoring five will consist of juniors Tori PeersJulia Stewart, and Ariel Lee, senior Chandler Bullman, and freshman Macey Mills. After a strong showing in the CSUN duel, freshman Misha Vega earned a spot as an individual in the field.

The Bobcat Desert Invitational will feature 54 holes of golf over two days on the Par 72, 6,277-yard course. Montana State will host 14 other teams including CSU Bakersfield, Cal Poly, Utah Valley, and UC Riverside.

Live stats will be available for the tournament and can be found at or on CSUB women’s golf’s schedule page. Monday will feature 36 holes while Tuesday will host the final round. Both days of competition will kick off at 7:45 a.m. (PT) with a shotgun start.
