BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — After a somewhat simple seeding meeting on Friday afternoon, the Pac-10 released its brackets for the 2007 Pac-10 Wrestling Championships at Cal State Bakersfield.

The meeting, which lasted just more than an hour, produced the six seeds per weight as well as the brackets for the tournament, which will take place Saturday and Sunday, Feb. 24-25 at the Icardo Center on the campus of Cal State Bakersfield.

Oregon State will open the tournament with the most seeded wrestlers at nine, just one away from having all 10 wrestlers being seeded in the tournament. But three others schools — Cal State Bakersfield, UC Davis and Cal Poly — each have eight seeded wrestlers just behind Oregon State.

Also, Cal State Fullerton and Boise State each have six seeded wrestlers, while Stanford, Arizona State and Oregon have five and Portland State has none.

The tournament begins Saturday morning at 11 a.m. and tickets are still available and can be purchased at the door.
