FRESNO, Calif. -In its final indoor meet of the season, the CSU Bakersfield women's track and field team had a good showing at the Fresno State Run for the Dream Invitational on Sunday night at the Save Mart Center.

The 'Runner relays led the way with the 4X145-meter relay team of Taevionna Wilson (So., Antioch, Calif., Antioch HS), Audrena Harlan (Fr., Antioch, Calif., Dozier-Libbey Medical HS), Jamara Scott (Fr., Bakersfield, Calif., Golden Valley HS) and Dominique Alexander (So., Bakersfield, Calif., South HS) placed third with a mark of 1:17.68. The 4X400 relay of Alyssa Page (So., Santa Rosa, Calif., Montgomery HS), Wilson, Amanda Duket (R-Jr., Bakersfield, Calif., Bakersfield HS) and Erica Wilcox (Fr., Bakersfield, Calif., Liberty HS) also placed third with a time of 4:17.89.

"We competed well and the 4X145 relay team did a good job," said CSUB Director of Track and Field Marcia Mansur-Wentworth. "We are now looking foward to our outdoor opener."

Individually, Scott took eighth in the long jump after leaping 17-04. Cecilia Lopez (Sr., Bakersfield, Calif., North HS) placed fifth in the 800 meter run with a time of 2:31.84.

The 'Runner women, joined by the CSUB men's track and field team, will open up the 2013 outdoor season on March 2 at the Cal Poly Pomona Invitational. The outdoor season will feature 9 regular-season meets in building up to the Great West Conference Championships May 10-11 in Houston, Texas.
