LOS ANGELES, Calif. - Leading a small squad of representatives from the CSU Bakersfield men's and women's track and field teams in the final regular-season meet of the 2012 outdoor season, junior Thomas Judge (Bakersfield, Calif., Graces HS) placed fourth in the hammer throw to lead the Roadrunners at the Oxy Invitational on Saturday.

Judge recorded a toss of 169-09 for the fourth-place finish to claim the highest finish by a Roadrunner at the Oxy Invite, which was hosted by Occidental College. CSUB head coach Alan Collatz said proir to the meet that many of CSUB's athletes would be sitting out the meet to rest and prepare for the Great West Conference Championship meet, which will be held May 10-12 in Houston, Texas.

CSUB freshman Alyssa Page (Santa Rosa, Calif., Montgomery HS) led the women's contingent by placing 11th in the 200-meter dash with a time of at 25.03 seconds and also took 13th in 400 in 57.37.

The 'Runners will now be getting ready for their first-ever GWC Championship meet since joining the conference as an affiliate member prior to the 2012 season.
