BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - The CSUB baseball team spent Saturday morning passing along their wealth of knowledge to approximately 400 fledgling baseball stars, hosting a free skills clinic for Bakersfield's Southwest Baseball Little League at Aera Park.

All 27 Roadrunner players and three coaches were in attendance, providing an array of instruction on throwing, catching, batting, pitching, base running and defense to the youth players.

The Roadrunners open the 2010 season in Bakersfield, at Hardt Field, on Friday, Feb. 19 against Air Force. First pitch for the opener is 2 p.m. and will be preceeded by a ceremony honoring veterans and families of Kern County's KIA's, as well as an Air Force flyover.
