ROADRUNNER GAME NOTES

Last Time Out
Freshman Amber Williams led the offensive charge with 22 points but it was senior Phynique Allen's last second heroics that pushed the Roadrunners past the Cal Poly Mustangs Saturday in the Icardo Center. Allen's layup at the buzzer gave CSUB an 83–81 victory over the Mustangs in a highly competitive contest. With 10 assist and 20 points, Allen picked up her second double–double of the season. Seniors Katie Williams (14) and Kelley Tarver (12) and junior Nikki Leon (11) all reached double figures. CSUB set a season–low mark with just five turnovers.

Pac–10 Woes
With the Oregon State Beavers struggling over the past month, the Roadrunners may be in a great position to pick up their first win over a Pac–10 opponent. CSUB enters the game 0–3 all–time against the BCS conference members, including a loss to USC earlier this season. OSU will be the first opponent, however, to visit the Icardo Center, where the Roadrunners are 8–3 this season and 108–23 (.824) all–time.

Turn What Overs
With 22 games completed this season, CSUB remains one of the nation's best in terms of turnover margin. The Roadrunners have held a positive turnover margin in every game this season and forced at least 20 opponent turnovers in every game except two (14, at USC – Dec. 20, 2009) (18, vs. Cal Poly – Jan. 30, 2010).

Record Breaker
Katie Williams' 87 steals this season is just four shy of the program's single–season mark of 91 set by Audrie Magdaleno during the inaugural 2000–01 season.

A Fresh Record
The lone true freshman on this season's squad, Amber Williams, has certainly proven to her teammates that she belongs on the court. Against Cal State Northridge (1–11–10), Williams set a Roadrunner program record with eight three pointers, besting Gillian Lillich's 2003 total of seven. The freshman has emerged as the team's third–leading scorer (9.0).

Holding 60
CSUB is an impressive 84–0 all time record when holding opponents under 60 points.

    Opponent    Date    Score    H/A/N
    Utah Valley    Dec. 9, 2009    78–36    Home
    Delaware State    Dec. 19, 2009    74–37    Neutral
    Miami (Ohio)    Dec. 22, 2009    76–56    Home
    Seattle    Jan. 16, 2010    65–47    Home

The 36 points allowed to Utah Valley is a program record. Last season, the Roadrunners held seven opponents under 60 points.
