BAKERSFIELD, Calif. — The 2010 Casino Night in the Islands is now just days away and CSUB Athletics is offering a preview of exciting live and silent auction items that will be up for bid Friday, Feb. 5 in the Icardo Center.
Headlining the list of live items to be auctioned off is a pair of tickets to see international rock legend U2 live at Angel Stadium in Anaheim. Limousine Scene will provide transportation to and from the concert on June 6. (donated by Lawman Promotions and Limousine Scene)
Are you ready for Hawaii? Donated by Hea Treatment Inc., this live package includes seven days in Kauai in a spacious two-bedroom suite at The Point at Poipu overlooking the Pacific Ocean and SUV rental for the entire week.
Or...create your own vacation courtesy of Enrico and Carmen Mazzei. This live item lets you chose the destination from hundreds of locations around the world. Includes a seven-night stay and a $600 airline voucher.
How about a gourmet dinner for 10, served right in your own home? You and nine others will enjoy diner prepared by Holida Inn executive chef Jose Candelario. Donated by Holiday Inn North of Bakersfield, this package also includes a server and wine.
Sports and entertainment memorabilia headline the silent auction lineup, including helmets signed by NLF greats Joe Montana and John Elway; a Cal Ripkin, Jr., jersey; a Derek Jeter Yankees jersey; a "Miracle on Ice" framed collage signed by 1980 US Olympic Hockey heros Jim Craig and Mike Eruzione; and a framed collection of Margaritaville collectable items signed by Jimmy Buffett.
