So You Want To Be A Roadrunner?
Steps you’ll need to take to become a student–athlete at Cal State Bakersfield

The intercollegiate athletic program at California State University, Bakersfield has a rich heritage of success both on the playing fields and in the classroom. Throughout the 35–year history of Roadrunner athletics the most important part of that equation has been this: the top–quality student–atheltes who have worn CSUB’s Blue & Gold.

If you think you have what it takes to be a Roadrunner, you’ve come to the right place. With the launch of the new gorunners.com Website in November, we will be adding more sport-specific recruiting information and features over the coming weeks and months.

The first thing all potential student–athletes (PSAs) should do is contact the head coach of their sport. Click on the “Contact Us” link above to find the e–mail and phone number for the coach of your sport.

Using the “Links” and "Compliance" menus on the left, potential student–athletes can apply to the University online; apply for financial aid online and visit the NCAA’s Eligibility and Recruiting homepage. You also may visit the CSUB main homepage to check information on majors, programs and activities offered by the University.
