Cindy Goodmon was named CSU Bakersfield’s Senior Woman Administrator in the summer of 2011. As a part of her responsibilities, Goodmon is the lead compliance officer for Title IX issues as related to Roadrunner athletics and is the primary administrator for the university’s 11 women’s teams.
As the chief financial officer for athletics, Goodmon oversees all matters relevant to athletics budgeting, fiscal performance and planning, business operations, and financial aid accounting. In addition, she provides senior leadership to human resources, game day operations, gender equity and Title IX initiatives, equipment operations, ticketing operations, facilities maintenance, and scheduling. Goodmon currently supervises the women’s soccer and women’s golf programs and is involved in many campus-wide task forces as the athletics department representative.
A key fixture in the CSU Bakersfield Athletics Department for the last 20 years, Goodmon is the Senior Associate Athletics Director and Senior Woman Administrator. She has handled a multitude of responsibilities throughout her career including budget development, budget analysis and financial reporting, developing and implementing policies and procedures regarding gender equity, game day operations, ticketing operations, equipment operations, and facilities maintenance and scheduling. Goodman also had administrative oversight of women’s basketball, softball, and men’s and women’s swimming and diving programs, men's golf as well as the student-athlete advisory committee, sports medicine, and drug testing.
Goodmon served on the NCAA Committee for Recruiting and Staffing Issues and currently serves on the WAC Council and WAC Strategic Planning Committee. She is also a member of the National Association of Collegiate Women Athletic Administrators (NACWAA), the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA), and the College Athletic Business Management Associations (CAMBA).
Goodmon received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Policy and Administration as well as a Master of Public Administration degree from California State University, Bakersfield.
